Status: Full Time, Exempt

Compensation: $90-$95K

THE TEAM:

In 2022, the agency reestablished a Marketing & Communications Department led by the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. This department brings together content marketing, public relations, web development, and more to advance our mission of ending homelessness. The Digital Content Manager will report to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer while collaborating closely with other MarCom team members. The team is responsible for crafting internal and external use of HomeFirst’s voice to advance and protect the organization’s reputation, further its priority advocacy/program objectives, and ensure that employees are meaningfully connected to the agency’s mission and community.

YOUR ROLE:

The Digital Content Manager assists in carrying out the responsibilities of elevating, preserving, and sharing the impact of the HomeFirst brand. In this role, you will lead design and digital platforms to support the brand visuals of HomeFirst. You will serve as the primary team member in managing social media content and collaborate in reporting data from relevant accounts. You will work to design branded visuals for newsletters and other business reports. The DCM will also monitor and update the HomeFirst website with design features and layout. This position supports the overall goals of the department for visual content creation. Further, the marketing and communications team leads the agency in their DEI Council, helping weave messaging and DEI strategy into the fabric of the organization’s culture. This position requires a collaborative spirit and willingness to work across all agency departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the CMCO in developing digital media strategies and create monthly content calendars.
  • Manage the day-to-day design of the agency's social media accounts and collaborate on data reporting and impact with the team.
  • Work closely with the team to optimize our agency’s website for user experience, accessibility, and content.
  • Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns to reach target audiences and drive traffic to our website, donation pages, and events.
  • Collaborate and develop agency collateral.
  • Engage with our online community and respond to inquiries, comments, and messages on social media and other digital platforms.
  • Create compelling digital content, including graphics and videos, to engage our audience.
  • Support internal teams with campaigns and events to meet department objectives.
  • This role is further responsible for modeling the values and principles of HomeFirst within the agency and the broader community.

Qualifications


ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS:

Although we value academic achievement, we recognize and celebrate individual journeys; therefore, experience and knowledge are prioritized.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of two years of formal education or experience in the marketing and communications sector, with hands-on skills in social media and design content. Nonprofit experience is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience working with homeless or other vulnerable populations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite specifically Illustrator, Canva, and other design platforms. Strong willingness to learn or experience in website management.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Mission-driven with an interest and curiosity in housing solutions and service delivery.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Creative video and photography skills.
  • Advanced skills in social media engagement.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals, time manage, multitask, and prioritize.
  • Experience working in a self-guided setting with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word,
  • PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.) is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and oral presentation skills.
